How Adventure Ledger works

Every adventure moves through the same five steps, from a someday idea to a memory you can flip back through.

The five steps

  1. Step 1

    Dream it

Add adventures to your bucket list, or borrow ideas from the Inspiration library and let AI suggest a few you hadn’t thought of.

  2. Step 2

    Plan it

Build a day-by-day itinerary by hand or have AI draft one: getting around, where to stay, what to do and where to eat.

  3. Step 3

    Live it

While you’re out there, jot journal entries and upload photos. Originals are stored privately, exactly as you took them.

  4. Step 4

    Remember it

Mark the adventure complete to earn badges and watch your timeline fill in, one finished dream at a time.

  5. Step 5

    Share it

Invite friends to see an adventure or plan it with you. Nothing is public unless you choose to share it.

Frequently asked questions

Is Adventure Ledger free?

Yes. Basecamp is free forever and includes 2 adventures, 200 photos, the Inspiration library, badges, the journal and sharing. Summit unlocks the rest.

What does Summit include?

Unlimited adventures, storage for 5,000 photos, AI suggestions and itinerary planning, "Suggest more" ideas, and no ads. It is $4.99 a month or $48.00 a year.

What happens if I cancel Summit?

You keep Summit until the end of the period you paid for, then move to Basecamp. Nothing is deleted. Anything over the Basecamp limits stays viewable and editable; you just can’t add more until you’re back under the limit.

When does my AI usage reset?

On Summit, AI usage resets on your billing date each month, not on the calendar month.

Are my photos compressed?

No. We keep your original files privately and create smaller previews for fast browsing. You can download the originals at any time.

Who can see my adventures?

Only you, plus anyone you explicitly share an adventure with. We never sell your personal information.

Why do I see ads?

Ads help keep Basecamp free. They never appear on your journal or photos, and Summit members never see ads at all.

How do I delete my account?

From Settings, choose Delete account. Your adventures, journal entries and photos are permanently removed.

Affiliate disclosure

Some links to booking partners such as Viator and Expedia are affiliate links, and tiles marked "Sponsored" are paid placements. If you book through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes which ideas we suggest to you, and Summit members see no sponsored content.
